Alumni Spotlight: Katie Colwill

2021 Leaver Katie is currently in her first year studying at Performers College Essex. Since leaving JMDS she has been loving her first term and popped back into the studio over Christmas to practice for her first year assessments.

When she’s not busy studying, Katie is currently performing as a Disney Princess at children’s parties- Take a look at these amazing photos she sent us!

Katie said:

“The JMDS family is one I am so proud to be a part of, the constant support, laughter and fun is what filled the 14 years I spent there with such unforgettable memories and friendships that I will cherish forever.

The incredible teacher and connections at JMDS made me the confident and driven performer that I am today, not only at dance but at life in general!

Since leaving JMDS in 2021 I have begun my first year at Performers College Essex. I felt well equipped and ready to step into the world of professional musical theatre training due to the incredible teachers and opportunities offered to me whilst at JMDS.

I am also working as a singing Disney Princess attending Children’s parties and performing at events! So far I have performed as Elsa and Anna from Frozen, and I am having the most brilliant and rewarding time.

My valuable training at JMDS helped mould me into the versatile and outgoing performer I am today, allowing me to grasp opportunities like these.”
